Knowledge for Peace. Action for Democracy
The Asian Peace and Democracy Institute (APDI) is an independent, non-profit, and non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting sustainable peace, strengthening democratic values, advancing human rights, and empowering communities across Asia. The Institute believes that peace, justice, freedom, and equal civic participation are the fundamental pillars of sustainable development and accountable governance.
Through applied research, education, public dialogue, policy recommendations, capacity-building initiatives, and public awareness programs, APDI works to foster democratic culture, strengthen the rule of law, and promote respect for human dignity. The Institute places particular emphasis on protecting human rights, advancing women's rights and gender equality, encouraging meaningful youth participation, safeguarding fundamental freedoms, and supporting vulnerable and marginalized communities.
